THERAPIES & TREATMENTS
Integrative Massage
A table massage that combines various techniques from modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Thai, Tui Na, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Aromatherapy.
Thai Massage
Thai massage is performed fully clothed on a firm mat on the floor and typically includes assisted stretching, mobilization, compression massage, petrissage, traction, rocking and tapotement. It tends to leave one relaxed yet energized! It’s sort of like taking a yoga class without doing any of the work.
Prenatal Massage
Nurture yourself and your baby with a relaxing massage. Many women are extra-attuned to their bodies during this time, so why not treat yourself and baby to some extra care and healing?! There are so many benefits to prenatal massage, some of which are increased circulation, reduced swelling, improved sleep, and relief from aches, pains and cramps.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping is decompressive work in that it pulls the body’s tissues away from the bones through use of a vacuum inside of the cup. It works deeply by separating the various layers of the skin, muscle, and connective tissues to break up adhesions, disperse stagnation, soften and reintegrate scar tissue, and alleviate pain. The marks left behind are not bruises, rather petechiae and hyperemia; this is the stagnant blood, toxins, and energy being brought to the surface so the lymphatic system can flush them out, and fresh blood being brought to the area to promote faster healing. It is not painful, rather most people find it very relaxing! Book a cupping session alone or add it to a massage for no extra cost.
Abdominal Massage & Cupping Detox Treatment
A healthy and properly functioning digestive system is imperative to overall heath and well-being. Gentle, decompressive manipulation of the abdominal cavity and organs aids in elimination, improved circulation, detoxification, and tonifies the tissues and structures. This therapy can decrease bloating, gas, distention, constipation, and painful cramps by dispersing stagnant waste and mucus, and increasing eliminations in the days following treatment.
Facial Cupping Rejuvenation
This treatment is therapeutic as well as rejuvenating. It can be done for special occasions and as regular maintenance. It is an extremely relaxing experience that can reduce edema and puffiness, bring a rosy glow to the complexion, soften lines and wrinkles, tonify and tighten facial muscles and skin, enhance absorption of facial topicals, release sinus compaction, and reduce tension from TMJ disorder and other stressors.
The action is cumulative, and successive treatments can have powerful results that naturally lift, tone, and re-shape the face and neck.
Recommended protocol: 6-12 sessions with a treatment every 4-7 days; followed by regular maintenance of 1-2 treatments per month
Gua Sha
Gua sha involves scraping the skin with a massage tool in order to disperse stagnation. It typically produces petechiae which helps to release stagnant blood, toxins, and energy, and bring fresh blood to the area to promote faster healing. Add it to a massage for no extra cost.
